The South East Calgary Community Resource Centre offers a variety of FREE programs and services.

Community Connections & Basic Needs Supports

Offering assistance in navigating various benefits, subsidies and housing applications. We provide support and guidance for accessing addiction treatment services and physical and mental health resources. Additionally, we offer the Basic Needs Fund as well as referrals and resources for food, clothing, furniture and more.

Drop-in Parent and Child Play Groups and Parent Education

Our agency has a beautiful, nature themed play/meeting space for children and parents to gather to play and learn located at 2425 69 Ave. S.E.. We offer Mother Goose programs on Tuesday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Drop-in play group Wednesday 9-12 and 1-3. Drop-in Yoga on Thursday mornings. Parenting tip-time and drop-in play group Friday 9 am -11 am.

Career and Employment

We assist with creating Resumes, Cover Letters, References, Job Searches, 

Career Assessment tools, and referrals to other training and resources. 

Clothing Room

Our centre has a large clothing and house wares room on site. This room is accessible every day from 9-11am and 1-3 pm except for Tuesdays from 1-3. All items are free. No appointment necessary. 

Insight Counselling and Therapy

If you are feeling like you would like someone to talk to, counsellors are available for in-person or online sessions. The counsellors are patient, insightful and non-judgmental and will work closely with you to strengthen your relationships, and become more productive in your personal and work life. Good Food Box

Our centre is a depot for the Good Food Box a program that offers affordable fruit and vegetables once a month. Drop-in to place and pay for your order anytime during office hours. The Good Food Box is a program offered by the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary

Yoga

Receive guidance and support in a safe space through a gentle Hatha yoga class where we will explore and create a relationship with our breath, gently open up the joints and glands of our bodies and learn mindfulness techniques that can be used anytime, anywhere to help alleviate stress, anxiety, physical and mental fatigue.

Tax Clinic

We offer tax clinics for low income Calgarians from March 15th to April 30th every year. The tax clinics are for filing of the previous taxation year. If multi-year filings are needed a referral can be sent to our partner agency RISE Calgary.
